Jeremy Saulnier’s Rebel Ridge: Overcoming Production Challenges
In November 2019, it was announced the John Boyega joined the cast of the movie scripted and directed by Jeremy Saulnier. In February 2020, its main cast added Don Johnson, Erin Doherty, James Badge Dale, Zsane Jhe, and James Cromwell. In April of the same year two actors were added for the project and they were AnnaSophia Robb and Emory Cohen had replaced Dohery.
Initially, external production was scheduled to begin in April 2020 in Louisiana; however, shooting was disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Principal photography was then initiated in Louisiana from the 3rd of May in the year 2021. The fan concerns related to the family forced Boyega to leave the production in June 2021 during the filming process.
